Joining us AKG North America Welcome to AKG’s North American site. The AKG Family in North American is made up of 600 dedicated team members spread over four AKG companies and we continue to grow. Our customer base, including large global OEM’s such as Caterpillar, John Deere, CNH, Cummins, Komatsu and Volvo, is a Who’s Who in the industries we serve. Our customers, combined with our dedicated AKG team members, allow us to achieve consistent, focused growth and ever increasing employment opportunities. The AKG Group operates business units in Mebane, NC and Mitchell, SD. While Mitchell is a pure manufacturing plant, Mebane includes a manufacturing plant and additionally the North American corporate offices as well as the AKG Thermal Systems assembly and distribution operation. Mitchell employs approximately 200 people while Mebane has 400 people in the workforce. Entry level positions in our plants include positions such as welders, machinists, and assemblers as well as opportunities for manufacturing and quality engineers. Recent hiring and current openings within our offices include designers with SolidWorks experience, accounting, supply chain, and administration positions along with mechanical engineering positions focused on product sales and application engineering.
